Available as a handpiece on the Alma Harmony platform at Mantra Health and Wellness in Modesto, ClearLift is a Q-switched laser designed to target excess pigment while leaving the surface of your skin undisturbed. As a bonus, it also supports smoother texture and softer fine lines along the way.
How ClearLift Works
ClearLift is a Q-switched Cr:Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm, with a 532 nm mode also available) that can be delivered in more than one way depending on what is being treated.
For pigmented lesions and hyperpigmentation, energy is typically delivered as a full, unfractionated beam through a confocal variable diameter (CVD) tip. Short, high-energy pulses are selectively absorbed by melanin, the pigment responsible for dark spots and discoloration, breaking it down so your body can clear it naturally over the following weeks.
For skin texture and fine lines, ClearLift can instead be delivered through a fractional pixel tip, creating a controlled photoacoustic (mechanical) effect in microscopic zones beneath the surface that stimulates new collagen while leaving the visible skin surface intact.

Is ClearLift Right for You?
ClearLift is often considered for hyperpigmentation specifically because published research includes safety data across a broad range of skin tones, from Fitzpatrick I through IV to studies focused on Fitzpatrick III through VI and richer phototypes, without reports of increased scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or lasting pigment changes when appropriate settings were used.

What to Expect During Treatment
Comfort: Published studies report minimal discomfort, with average pain scores in the range of 0 to 2.5 out of 10. Most patients do not need numbing cream.
Downtime: Little to none. Mild, short-lived redness is the most commonly reported side effect, and most patients return to normal activities right away.
Sessions and Results
Sessions: Published protocols for hyperpigmentation have used up to 6 sessions spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart, while protocols for skin texture and fine lines have used 3 to 4 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Your provider will map out a personalized plan based on your skin analysis and goals.
Results: For hyperpigmentation, published results were maintained at 3-month follow-up. For skin texture and fine lines, published studies found the majority of patients rated their wrinkles as improved or much improved within 3 months.
Improvement builds gradually as pigment clears and new collagen forms.
